Lukas Kaugars: 36.28 TES + 43.65 PCS = 78.93 and into 1st place
He has nice musicality
Nice triple to start the program
Double + Double combo with tano arm
Good sit spin positions
Problem centering on this second sit spin
Nice triple with a solid landing
Fall on his next triple
2 + 2 (tano) + 2 (two-footed)
Nice camel spin position
He's lacking energy in this step sequence
Double axel at the very end of his program, a bobble on the landing but he hangs on
Jordan Moeller: 40.76 TES + 42.04 PCS = 82.80 and into 1st place
Nice double axel at the beginning of his program
Fast sit spin
Triple with turn out
Pops his triple into a double and is really close to the boards
2+2+2
He needs more musicality and energy in this step sequence
Nice camel spin positions
Triple with a hand down but he tacks on a single
Double + Single
Triple to end the jumps
A lack of centering in this combo spin but he picks up speed at the end
Andrew Nagode: 36.02 TES + 41.91 PCS -1.00 = 76.93 and into 4th place
I'm getting a little tired of Rachmaninoff
He pops his first jump into a single
Nice recovery with a Double + Double
Solid double axel
Triple + Double but he's tilted in the air
Nice sit spin
Another tilted triple and he puts his hand down
Fall on his flying sit spin
Good power getting back into his next triple (two-footed)
Good energy in the step sequence
2 + 2 with no speed at the end of the program
Nice fast combination spin
Alexander Bjelde: 40.26 TES + 43.82 PCS = 84.08 and into 2nd place
I love the personality and invisible props at the beginning of this program
3 + 2 very solid
Nice double
High double axel
Fast sit spin
Double with a hand down--it looks like his blade caught the ice on take off
Double
2 + 2 + 2
He needs more extension through his camel position but nice fast combination spin
I'd like more performance in this step sequence
Nice triple at the end
Slow final spin
Nathan Chen: 57.45 TES + 53.48 PCS = 110.93 and into 1st place
He opens with a 2A + 2+2 very solid
Triple + Double
Triple a little forward on the landing but he hangs on
Nice spin positions in his camel
Playing to the judges in his step sequence
Fast sit spin
Great combination spin and he shows off his flexibility with a leg catch upright spin
I'd like to see him finish some of his movements a little more but that will come with maturity
Solid Triple
Double
Triple
Ends with a Triple Double and he rotates so quickly!
Solid program!
Nix Phengsy: 41.56 TES + 53.48 PCS = 83.60 and into 3rd place
Triple + Double combination to start the program
2 + 2
Triple with a step out
Good low sit spin and good speed
3 + 2--I'd like to see him get into his knees more on the landing so he can land the jumps better
Triple with hand down
Single?
Good step sequence with the music
Fast combination spin
Double axel
He needs to work on his camel position but he has a really nice upright position in his final combination spin
