Skaters on the Grand Prix must have achieved a minimum score from July 1 2010-May 31 2011. The minimum score can also be achieved at Nebelhorn, Ondrej, Finlandia, Cup of Nice, Ice Challenge and the NRW Ice Dance competitions.
The minimum scores are:
Men: 168.60
Ladies: 117.48
Pairs: 130.71
Dance: 111.15
Invited skaters from the host country must have achieved the minimum score and/or be on the top 75 season's best list.
The alternate list is made up of comeback skaters first (previously placed in the top 6 at Worlds).
Second on the list for pairs and dance teams will be teams that have placed in the top 12 at Worlds but have split and have reteamed with new partners.
Next would be skaters in the top 24 season's best in order until every skater has received 2 assignments.
The top 75 season's best skaters are next on the list.
At the bottom of the list are the winners of select Senior B events.
