She has a high technical content with triple-triples and impressive spins. She can likely afford to make a mistake and still win this event, but a medal of any color will send her to the Final.
Satoko Miyahara of Japan is another 13 year old who is making an impression on the junior ranks. She took home the silver medal behind Lipnitskaia in her debut and is poised to win her second medal at this event. She needs a gold medal to guarantee a spot in the Final, while a silver would send her to a likely tiebreaker.
Courtney Hicks of the United States is also in her first season on the Junior Grand Prix and won the gold medal in Australia. She's chasing her second medal here with a unique spin she invented called the Tw-Hicks. She has an elegant, expressive style and has a triple-triple combination. She needs a medal of any color to make the Final.
These three ladies all have such high technical content and presentation style that it will be hard to overtake them for the podium. They're all shooting for the Final and placement and scores will be very important in determining who goes.
