US Nationals: Senior Pairs Short Program

  1. Evora/Ladwig: 35.33 TES + 27.54 PCS = 62.87
    1. debuting their new short to Sing, Sing, Sing; they are 26 and 30
    2. Great triple twist with clean catch to open the program
    3. Nice sbs triple toes
    4. A little forward on the landing of the throw triple loop
    5. Lack of unison on their sbs spins
    6. The footwork is to the slow section of the music but its very intricate and nicely done, she stumbles out of a twizzle at the end though
    7. Nice death spiral with a change of hold
    8. Nice lift with a flip exit
    9. Bobble into their ending pose
    10. A few little mistakes here and there but I definitely think this program has potential for them
  2. Moore/Gaumond: 26.64 TES + 19.80 PCS = 46.44 and into 2nd place
  3. Davis/Leftheris: TES + 22.74 PCS = 51.07 and into 2nd place 
  4. Scimeca/Dimitrov: TES + PCS = WD; he has the flu
  5. Donlan/Speroff: 26.73 TES + 21.89 PCS = 48.62 and into 3rd place 
  6. Vise/Baldwin: 31.12 TES + 23.17 PCS = 54.29
  7. Yankowskas/Coughlin: 35.98 TES + 28.32 PCS = 64.30 and into 1st place 
    1. nice high triple twist with a clean catch
    2. beautiful throw triple salchow with a great landing
    3. excellent sbs triple toes
    4. Great air position and a complicated hold and a clean exit from their lift
    5. nice sbs spins
    6. Great performance from her in this step sequence
    7. Very nice death spiral position
    8. Solid, entrancing program from them!
  8. Castelli/Shnapir: 29.57 TES + 21.91 PCS = 51.48 and into 4th place 
    1. I love how she stares him down at the beginning of the program
    2. He turns out of the sbs triple salchows
    3. Nice triple twist with a clean catch
    4. Good fast rotation on their spins but they were off unison
    5. Step sequence seems very slow
    6. Huge throw triple salchow
    7. Great air position in her lift and nice flexibility in her change of position
    8. Nice death spiral at the end of their program
