Group 1
Joelle Forte, USA: 26.61 TES + 22.25 PCS = 48.86- She opens with a triple lutz that was nice in the air but she stepped out on the landing
- Triple salchow + double toe
- She could use more arch in her layback spin but has nice speed
- Nice one foot sequence in her step sequence but I would like to see her use her whole body more and to have more expression than just a frozen smile
- Ina Bauer into a double axel with a little wobble on the landing
- She needs more stretch through her free leg in the sit spin
- Good speed in her camel spin with a nice arch position and she maintains the speed through three position changes
- She looks very tall here and is wearing a black dress with some nice crystal work
- She looks so much happier and relaxed than she looked all last season
- Triple flip + double toe was really nicely landed
- Nice spread eagle in her transitional movements
- Triple loop with a nice solid ride out on the landing
- Nice low sit spin position with good speed
- A little bit of a stepout on the double axel
- Great speed through the camel spin and she pulls it into a nice catchfoot
- Good speed and power through her step sequence and I like the way she's really using her arms; little bobble in the middle but she hangs on and doesn't miss a beat
- Very nice layback positions and she shows off her signature pearl spin and a really stretched out Biellman with nice speed
- She is wearing a black and purple pleather number with lots of rhinestones on the illusion mesh at the top
- A little scratchy on the landing of her opening triple lutz
- She pops open her triple toe and doesn't get the combo
- Nice camel spin in a catch foot position with a seamless exit
- A lot of movement in her step sequence with great use of her whole body and in time with the music
- Very nice double axel
- Good layback spin into a haircutter but she has her hip hiked open to the side so her position is less appealing than some of the other ladies
- She has nice extension through her free leg in her sit spin but she runs out of speed through the combination spin
- She is in a really pretty lavender dress and is one of three ladies coached by Sato and Dungjen who are competing tonight
- She looked so nervous before the event but I don't see any of the nerves now--all smiles on the ice
- Triple lutz + double toe combination
- Nice triple loop
- Great speed through her camel spin and an increase in rotation through the donut into an overcrossed scorpion
- Good double axel
- Nice use of her whole body through the step sequence with nice expression in her face
- Nice speed in her layback position and she has great command of her arms
- She is definitely the Japanese Alissa Czisny!
- She also trains with Sato and Dungjen
- She opens with a lot of speed into her triple salchow
- Fall on her triple lutz--might be an edge call there
- She hurries into her spin; could use more stretch through her free leg in the sit spin
- Nice double axel
- Good layback position into a haircutter with very nice spin
- Her step sequence is really in the character of her program and has a lot of level changes and uses her whole body
- Nice speed through her broken leg sit spin
Group 2
Viktoria Helgesson, SWE: 26.10 TES + 25.03 PCS = 51.13 and into 3rd place- She is skating to My Funny Valentine in a red dress with a spider web design in the back with hearts weaved in
- Triple flip + double toe with a lot of speed and good ride out
- Nice triple loop
- Nice upright spin with good speed but she has an awkward arm at the very end
- Good one foot section to open her step sequence; it flows really well and fits the tone of the music
- Solid double axel
- Nice low position in her sit spin--a little bit of a botched entry on her fly
- Good speed through her final combination spin but she needs more stretch through the free leg in her sit spin
- She is looking stunning tonight in a long sleeved black dress with red accents that features an open back
- Popped her triple lutz into a double but tacks on the double toe for the combo
- Double salchow
- Good speed in her sit spin but not as low as she could be compared to the other skaters
- A little struggle on the landing of her double axel but she manages to keep her free leg up
- A little wobble in her step sequence
- Nice positions in her layback spin and good speed
- Beautiful camel position and a nice spin with her leg held overhead but she loses speed at the end
- She is wearing a pretty ice blue dress and the skirt really floats with her
- A really hard fall on her opening triple toe
- Her transitional movements are really nice and she really commits to the character of the program
- Triple loop + single toe combination and she really fought for the landing on the first jump
- Had to step out of the double axel
- Her choreography to this program is good and she has really nice use of her arms
- Great speed through her camel spin into the broken leg sit spin and the overhead catch foot position
- A lot of difficult in this step sequence and she makes use of her whole body while getting good ice coverage
- Good position in her layback spin with a nice haircutter and biellman
- She is wearing a pink sheath dress with a crystal belt and some really intricate crystal work on the back of the dress
- Triple lutz + double toe combination with a nice landing
- Triple flip with a nice transition out of the jump
- Double axel with a little bit of a fight getting the free leg out
- Great speed in the donut position in her camel spin
- She is so seamless and flawless in her transitional moves and skating skills
- I love this step sequence because it doesn't look like an element or a series of moves strung together for points; everything flows so well and it looks like she's taking a stroll through the park
- Very nice sit spin into an upright that is incredibly fast
- Beautiful layback spin with a great Biellman
- I really wish Carolina's costume designer would invest in some illusion mesh that matches her skin tone
- This shade of green is very pretty on her and it would be nicer if it came up higher so she wouldn't need the illusion mesh and it would bring the color up closer to her face
- Triple toe + triple toe combination very solid with a nice hold of the arabesque on the landing
- A little forward on the landing of her triple loop but she holds on and gets the free leg out
- Nice donut position in her camel spin
- It looks like she slid a little bit in a transitional move, but picked right back up
- Good double axel
- Her layback spin and haircutter positions look better but there isn't a lot of speed
- A wobble in her footwork sequence will cost her some points
- Nice speed in her camel spin into a broken leg sit spin
